Customers, sales, and profits have vanished. The following is a simple short story of how it happens. "Jones was a stereotypical bourgeoisie who worked long hours and wore several hats. "The issue was that each of the headgear demanded attention. Jones addressed the problem by wearing the loudest-screaming headgear. "Unfortunately, this was only a temporary solution because all the hats were unbroken screaming until they were worn.
"There was one hat, though, that never yelled. Even if it was lonely, it never moaned, whined, or whimpered. It understood it was vital, whether or not it was worn. That hat was correct. "The shoppers stopped arriving one day. The opposing hats went silent; they were no longer required. Jones had seen the hat called selling and how little it had been worn at the time. "'Why didn't I put on the selling hat?' Jones wondered. "For one thing, unlike the other caps, selling had not shouted for attention. Jones was concerned that the selling hat was too pricey to wear and would drain earnings. "But suddenly there were no profits since the customers had left. "Jones put on his selling hat. It was time to entice returning clients while while attracting new ones. It was time to put on the selling hat on a regular basis. "Even the opposing hats are on high alert."
